WHAT TO EXPECT
- Avoid sun exposure for a few weeks prior to your appointment.
- Scale back on topical exfoliants, including acids and retinoids, in the days leading up to your appointment.
- If you opted for numbing, your provider will apply numbing cream to the area prior to treatment. You won’t feel any pain, however you may feel warmth or a zapping sensation.
- Your skin may appear pink and feel warm to the touch immediately after treatment.
- Bruising and swelling may occur after vascular treatment.
- Brown spots may appear darker, scab and will eventually shed.
- Don’t book a facial on the same day as your laser treatment.
- Go without makeup the day and night of your treatment.
- Apply sunscreen like it’s your job — regularly and thoroughly!
- You may return to your regular skincare routine the day after treatment.
